During the peak of TS agitation, KCR had once remarked that while their city Hyderabad is a truly cosmopolitan one, welcoming everyone, people of Telangana don’t even own a cycle shop in Vijayawada. Now while Naidu has been dreaming about an international level playingfield for AP’s capital city, it can be truly meaningful only whenpeople from other parts of India and yes, from its own state region of Rayalaseema are welcomed openly without any prejudice. Only time willtell if Amaravathi would become a cosmopolitan city or will it remainin clutches of casteism and local fervor.
