BJP has planned to make damage control measures after getting resistance from the people of AP for not giving promised Special Status to the state. NDA Government has agreed to show some development activities in the state to the people. PMO agreed to include AP’s vital rail route from Nadikudi to Srikalahasti in Modi’s priority list.
Railway board has agreed to develop Guntur to Gunthakal
Railway board has agreed
to develop doubling works from Guntur to Gunthakal. In addition to that, NDA Government
also seeks to develop National Highways between Guntur and Ananthapur and
Guntur and Kurnool. AP Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao got assurance from Railway
board and PMO officials.
Nadikudi to Srikalahasti
309 KM rail route from Nadikudi to Srikalahasti travels through Chittoor, Nellore, Prakasam and Guntur is the key to the state internally. There were no allocations to this project in the budget since many years. Central Government agreed State Government’s plea to modernization the routes that connected to Guntur from Rayalaseema districts.
