We all know that, Mission Kakatiya is a program of restoring all the tanks and lakes in Telangana state. The name Kakatiya represents in the remembrance and tribute to the Great Kakatiya rulers who are the part in the development of large number of the irrigation tanks. As part of this, government identified 45,000+ tanks and lakes in a special intensive survey on minor irrigation tanks, and now restoring all these tanks and lakes is kept as the main agenda of Mission Kakatiya.
Mission Kakatiya is becoming commission Kakatiya
Now, the mission Kakatiya is becoming commission Kakatiya. All the ruling party leaders from Sarpanch, MPP, ZPTC, MLAs are threatening contractors of commissions. They are demanding 3% to 5% percentage to allow the smooth completion of works.
Mission is completely turning into wrong track
Contractors were not able to handle the pressure of percentages. Some of the leaders are even said to be using foul language on Engineers supervising the works. It is said that several such complaints are reaching Irrigation Minister Harish Rao’s desk every day. But he is proving to be toothless in reining the corruption. Finally Mission is completely turning into wrong track which doesn't pay a route to the completion of the mission.
