Rahul Gandhi is set for his Telangana tour soon. While the main objective of his visit is reportedly to console the distressed farmer families in Telangana region, it is more or less confirmed that he would be setting foot in Osmania University and interact with students. There are even chances of a night halt.

Inspite of KCR and his movement instigating the people of Telangana, it is a fact that it was Sonia Gandhi’s dream to witness Rahul as PM of India, which made Telangana a reality. But again the fact that Congress failed to make use of this decision as election advantage saw TRS coming to power.
700 farmers have committed suicide
Now Rahul’s visit to the region nearly one year after formation of Telangana is perfectly timed. Rahul is focusing on two important segments of the society such as farmers and students, as both of them had played a key role in the T—agitation relying on KCR’s promises.Till date, it is believed that more than 700 farmers have committed suicide in the new state of Telangana.
While at the same time, students are in a warpath with TS government over new jobs. Sensing this discontent, Congress is playing an intelligent gambit here. While TDP is literally after KCR’s scalpel,now a resurgent Rahul may give sleepless nights to TRS which islooking unassailable at the moment. Rahul’s visit to OU, the hot bed of T-movement may be a game changer for Congress, if it is planned properly.
