As the pressure has been mounting on the Centre over the Special Status grant to the state, the Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah made an announcement regarding it courting the auspicious first anniversary celebrations of rule. He said that the Centre will not take back the promise of granting the Special Status.

Addressing the media today, Amit Shah said " We have recently discussed about the Special Status issue with the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Our government will very soon take a decision about this issue. " He also spoke about Modi's government determination to bring back the black money to the country.
