Since last 10 days, popular Telugu news channel Ntv is not telecasted in all 13 districts of AP. No one knows the exact reason for that. There are rumors among the media circle that Ntv is always campaigning for YSRCP in state politics. Ntv was telecasted political surveys regularly before the elections in AP that demoralized TDP cadre and boost up to YSRCP’s. TDP leaders stopped Survey in March 2014 after the release of EC notification for general elections.
TDP leaders blamed
that Ntv acts on behalf of YSRCP. There was rumor that YSRCP President Jagan has
invested in Ntv as pre-cautionary before ED took over SAKSHI news channel.
There are reports from all through state that Ntv not telecasted in AP. Is it
official ban? Or payments issue with local MSOs. If it is ban Ntv didn’t make
any complaint against AP Government like what ABN did in Telangana. CBN didn't take such risk like what KCR did in Telangana.
There was no
protest and condemn news against TDP Government in SAKSHI paper if Ntv really
banned as per the pressure from TDP. Then why Ntv is not telecasted in AP? One
thing we get clarity, Ntv not telecasted in AP after AP Government appointed
SIT on Phone Tapping issue. It is just co-incidental. There was no news either
from Government or from Ntv management on reason for stopping of telecasting in
AP.
