The moment it came out that Telangana government is all set to make use of helmet mandatory for two wheelers, many people expressed views against the rule. This came as a shocker even after many analysis and facts stated that almost 90% accident deaths occurred due to non-usage of helmets and many lives could have been saved.

Telangana Roles

However all people who give lectures on rules being followed in foreign countries and many who follow strict rules in overseas, do not want to follow the same rules when imposed in India. Various state governments tried to implement helmet rule but due to the apathy of people, done away with it. People drive carelessly without wearing helmets or hanging it at the back of their vehicles and drive four wheelers without seat belts and talking on mobiles. Many visit foreign countries and proudly say how people in the backseat too strictly use seat belts.

Chalta Hai attitude of Hyderabad is came to fore when some said government instead of making helmets compulsory should work on improving roads. Roads with pits do need improvement but this makes it even more valid point to wear helmet for their own safety as it is unsafe to drive on bad roads.

For many beauty is more important than their own safety and that of others. While females are under the impression that helmets give them headache, result in hair fall, males are under false notion that use of helmets result in bald head though research proved them false.
