Telangana government seems to be making good efforts in various arenas but the state is sometimes unable to make a visible presence for some important events. There are reports that for the Maha Pushkaralu which comes once in 144 years, the state is not doing enough inspite of criticism by all parties.

Minority communities

The state government has recently announced Rs. 26 crores exclusively on the occasion of Id which would be arriving soon. As a welfare measure and to gain more popularity, there is nothing wrong in appealing with such largesse to the minority communities. Most states do this, and if one community benefits, it is also good.

But again several leaders from opposition as well as Hindu groups have been criticizing KCR, the CM of Telangana for not making any statements or grand announcements regarding the upcoming Pushkaralu for Godavari River. In fact, KCR in the past chided Telangana society for rushing to Rajahmundry when they can attend the event at Dharmapuri in Karimnagar.

Bhadrachalam

All said and done, this is also the time to showcase the tourism potential of the state. Last year there were some right moves made in this direction, but suddenly no one is aware as to why the government lost the momentum in works. Even at Bhadrachalam the Ghats are in a pathetic condition and the works are not upto the mark.
