Tagic death of 27 devotees at the start of pushkarams in Rajamundry in a stampede exposed the hollowness of TDP government and their leaders stand. After the tragedy many TDP leaders started blaming police officials and Municipal administration along with other bureaucrats, rather than own the responsibility.
There is no denying that the deaths were caused as AP CM Chandrababu Naidu planned a video shortage during pushkarams along with his family taking dip in the presence of devotees to use it as a promotional campaign internationally boasting his government's achievement.

Narayana and Butchaiah Chowdhary. On the day of tragedy three lines out of four
line barricades were removed on their instructions. Collector H.Arun Kumar
shocked saying he had no information on changes in crowd management.
