TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu may be admired very much by his well-wishers and TDP cadre. But at the same time, there are certain traits of him which his rivals know better. They were all once associated closely with Naidu in TDP. Naidu is known for his distrust of his own men.
Naidu reportedly keeps people at a distance no matter how much close they are. But once he starts suspecting them, TDP insiders also admit it is time for them to leave or simply mellow down their political career. Indra Reddy, Renuka Chowdhary, Umma Reddy Venkateswarlu and Nagam are examples for this.
Ashok Gajapathi Raju for not delivering much
There were media reports recently that Chandrababu had publicly criticized Union Civil Aviation Minister and TDP MP from Vizianagaram, Ashok Gajapathi Raju for not delivering much for the state. Raju even offered to resign from the post immediately and later they patched up.
But sources say that when Naidu was involved neck deep in note for vote case in the month of June, the name of Raju as a possible CM replacement for Chandrababu came out, even in Pro-TDP media. Hence, it is being said that this is Naidu’s way of showing Raju his place, in an indirect manner, sensing a threat from him, though it is said that Raju never has such over ambitions.
