Leader of the opposition party, YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy has been at the receiving end for his recent actions. Ruling TDP blasted him for siding with Telangana CM KCR and TRS party for his selfish ends selling the stakes of Andhra Pradesh.
His decision to support TRS candidates in the recent MLC elections in Telangana and also attack CM Chandra Babu for cash for votes scam even supporting TRS party's tand on phone tapping, made him vulnerable for such attacks from other parties.

Jagan's silence on special status to Andhra Pradesh too was questioned by various parties. Under these circumstances he announced that he will conduct deeksha and protest march at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi. However no one took him seriously as he said he will take the support of Congress which was responsible for the division of the state.
However
Jagan got the required energy drink from PM Modi and ruling BJP at the centre
when they announced in parliament that Andhra Pradesh and for that matter no
state will be accorded special status. Analysts feel this is golden opportunity
for Jagan who is currently down and out. It is shocking that BJP presented this
opportunity to Jagan, bitter enemy of its friend AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu.
