Telugu Desam Party's tainted Telangana MLA, Revanth Reddy had announced that he is not going to resign as Kodangal MLA. After Revanth Reddy's release on bail, it was speculated that Revanth will resign for his seat and seek fresh mandate from the people. But Revanth himself confirmed that he has no intention of resigning.

"Across the nation, more than 200 MPs, MLAs and Minister are facing cases and investigations are going on. What are those rules applicable to me and not applicable to them?", Revanth Reddy said. That leaves the ball in KCR's court. The government can still get him disqualified via Speaker and ensure a bielection.

But KCR will not take the risk as Revanth Reddy is still strong in Kodangal and he will also have a sympathy of government harassment. He will be at huge advantage if he manages to win the bielection. KCR do not want it to happen and may leave it to the courts to decide his fate. Revanth Reddy is the prime accused in the Cash for Vote scam. He is currently on bail and is not allowed to move out of Kodangal.
