Bonalu is the most important festival of Telangana region. Bonalu started with much fanfare with Ujjaini Mahankali jatara but the festive atmosphere now turned into fear.
Many are now a worried lot and are wondering whether Goddess Mahankali is angry with them. Rangam is the most popular event in the festival. Lot of interest was generated as this is the second future forecast by the Goddess after the formation of Telangana.

However in the Rangam, Goddess belied all expectations and expressed her anger on various issues and in serious tone. She said all of them are robbing the state and some are even siphoning the funds of the temple.
She asked the wicked minded to change their behavior and questioned how can any good happen when politicians turn selfish. She questioned when sinners are more how will clouds burst and rains fall.
She
angrily questioned why her devotees should suffer for her darshan even with the
presence of so many officials, temple authorities and police. When she said she
is not satisfied with the services, temple main priest asked her what devotees
will feel if she talks like it.
She then
said she can save,punish and even solve the problems of all. Devotees are
expressing fears on Goddess anger.
