The dilemma and tension regarding the final stage for acquisition of 3000 acres for AP capital region has ended finally. The Andhra Pradesh government has formally stopped the process of land acquisition in the 8 villages which borders Krishna river.
The farmers in the villages seem to be very happy and sources say they are planning for some huge celebrations as part of the occasion on September 3. The Andhra Pradesh government had earlier issued notices to these villages on the banks of Krishna river.

However, farmers from nearly eight villages were holding dharnas and making appeals to stop the acquisition. It was then that Pawan Kalyan and Jagan came into this picture and threatened to agitate for farmers' cause and stop acquisitions. Due to public pressure as well as opposition threats, the Central government which had earlier issued an ordinance for land acquisition, has repealed the ordinance.
Immediately Andhra Pradesh government had even gone a step further and announced the stalling of land acquisition process in the eight villages. This has become a face saver for Babu and now many of them are coming forward voluntarily to donate land for capital. The capital tension is over as of now.
