According to an unofficial estimate, at least 1400 farmers have committed suicides after attaining Telangana state. The issue is a burning topic right now as the state is ranked second in the country in farmers sucidies. All the political parties are trying to play an interesting game on this issue. The ruling party wants to shift the blame on to previous governments forgeting the fact they are voted only after previous governments made mistakes.
On the other side, opposition parties are also not able to instill confidence in Telangana farmers and playing this issue to derive some political mileage. The so called one full day discussion on the issue in Assembly did not yield any concrete solutions for this problem. As the house is discussing the issue, one farmer came all the way from Warangal and threatened to jump off a mobile tower near the assembly. Later he consumed pesticide.

Hyderabad and climbing tower and consuming poison has an indirect question to the Assembly on
what it is doing to help him? While the ruling party and the opposition
parties who ruled the state are not responsible for the death of 1400
farmers? Who killed those innocent farmers? The country do not impose
tax on farmers but instead they are paying a hefty tax with their lives!
Even after that governments mask them by under reporting the suicides.
