MIM, the party with its old city of Hyderabad as a bastion is well known for its brand of politics. Although they don’t formally be part of any alliance, they extend issue based support to strong ruling parties. In the past they supported TDP and also Congress during YSR and Rosaiah’s rule.

Currently they are seen as close to TRS party with KCR wooing them with one after the other doles and benefits. It is unimaginable for TRS to make a strong mark in GHMC polls without MIM and everyone knows this. But the war of words between Akbaruddin Owaisi and KTR stunned everyone.
Recently they traded aggressive statements against each other which were very damaging for TRS. Sources say that yesterday, immediately in the evening, TRS delegation rushed to Owaisi’s chamber in TS Assembly.
They reportedly cajoled him and his party for a compromise in return based on a condition that they will not cast any aspersions on them in the Assembly in the future. TRS was taken aback with Akbar’s rant against TRS government while mocking CM KCR and other ministers over farmers’ suicides issue.
