Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had to reportedly water down his plans regarding delivering a powerpoint presentation on the irrigation projects in Telangana by means of joint session of the state legislative assembly and also the council.

Sources say that Governor ESL Narasimhan hasn’t given his consent for a request involving joint session and hence the TRS government is all set to come up with one more alternative plan involving the chief minister's presentation. The presentation has been scheduled for October 9.

Telangana CS Rajiv Sharma from the governor's office

There are rumours doing the rounds of late that there is a dip in the level of bonhomie which was evident earlier between the CM and the governor. A letter to Telangana CS Rajiv Sharma from the governor's office seeking an update on action taken over T Srinivas Yadav, the TDP MLA who had joined TRS has upset KCR.

Sources say that this reluctance by governor to convene a rare joint sitting of the assembly and council in tune for the powerpoint presentation is actually a result of the recent fallout regarding Srinivas Yadav case. The central government, after a complaint from the TDP, requested for a report from the Raj Bhavan over Srinivas Yadav's status as an MLA including him being sworn-in as a minister.
