There was a time when TDP emerged as an alternate voice against the Congress party that was seen increasingly as family-centric throughout its long history. Well now TDP itself has emerged as person-centric party, negating the argument of TDP leaders who accuse Congress as a family party.
TDP is rapidly becoming a person-centric party where everything under the son is carrying Chandrababu Naidu's name. Chandranna sankranthi, Chandranna tohfa, Chandranna vyavasaya kshetra pariseelana, raitu kosam Chandranna, Chandranna sankshemam, Chandranna vijayalu, are some of the examples.
Congress rule were named after Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi
All such schemes are being named after Naidu just like how all schemes in Congress rule were named after Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi which reached peaks during YSR's time. TDP had attacked YSR saying he is naming everything after Rajiv to gain the attention of AICC chief Sonia Gandhi.
Now, TDP is more or less indulging in the same tactics with even credit shift from NTR to Chandrababu Naidu with many schemes and projects on Babu's name. Moreover, this habit of naming them after a person who is still alive is really seen as awkward!
