Astrology is often considered in the wrong sense. It is often understood as predictive branch of knowledge. People out of interest wanted to know about their future life, career, marriage, kids, health, success, fame, riches and so on. But the real purpose of astrology is something beyond all of these.
Our horoscope is just a mirror of our past karmas. If you have read Bhagavad Gita you must have known this, Krishna said, "No one can ever remain without performing action for even a moment; everyone is helplessly driven to action by nature." [Chap.3 Sloka 5].
Karma is just our past actions and thoughts. Actions and thoughts are forms of energy. And as we all know Energy can just be transformed from one form to another. Good actions have Good Karma and vice-versa. This clearly explains the happiness and sadness in our lives.
So nothing happens 'by chance'. And these permutations and combinations are coming in forms of signs and placements of planets during our birth horoscope. So people who are born with silver spoon are just having a good karma. Astrology has nothing to do with the future.
