Sources have stated that a shocking reports being published by several national media houses, a Team India cricketer who is presently touring Zimbabwe for the ongoing series has been arrested for allegedly raping a Zimbabwean woman.
Charity Charamba, the Assistant Commissioner of Police in Harare, Zimbabwe has said that there are allegations of rape against an Indian national by a Zimbabwe woman and the ACP further said that the Indian national was even produced before the court on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of External Affairs has tweeted that the reports of an Indian cricketer being arrested is not true and the woman has said she woke up in the player's room the next morning and that she had no idea how she ended up being there.
Few reports which has said that no Indian cricketer was involved in the rape or even arrested on any kind of charges and apparently, it was an Indian national who is one of the sponsors for the team, was charged with rape but he denied any involvement and said he is even ready for a DNA test.
