PV Sindhu who was whole nation's hope has failed to get a Gold in the finals. PV Sindhu has won the first game but Carolina Marin leveled the match with a win in the second game. PV Sindhu won a thrilling first game against Carolina Marin 21-19 but the Spanish World No.1 roared back to win the second game 21-12.



Marin who is the World Champion is now the Olympic Champion as well. Sindhu has definitely lost the momentum. She fought hard till the end and has proved her talent in Rio. She is the future for sure.


Sindhu who won the first set made lots of errs on her drop shot and she also made more judgemental errors. Despite losing the first game, it was Marin who had slim advantage and in the end it was a cracking game. With shis Silver medal, India moves to 61st spot. India now has 1 Silver and 1 Bronze.
