Ingredients:

  • 4 cups boiled grated potatoes
  • 1 cup well-beaten thick curd with salt, chilli powder and roasted ground cumin seeds
  • 1/2 cup green chutney
  • Oil for frying


For Stuffing:

  • 1 cup boiled channa dal or green peas
  • 1 tbsp ginger chopped
  • 2 tbsp kishmish
  • 2 tbsp cashew nuts
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste


Method:

  • Mix all the stuffing material nicley
  • Take a big portion of mashed potato. Make a round and keep one tbsp of stuffing in the center.
  • Press and make all the tikkis like this.
  • Now Shallow fry these tikkis in a flat frying pan, pouring a little oil all around and turning these until golden brown and crisp.
  • These should be cooked on medium flame.
  • Break a little and serve with curd and  chutney.
