Ingredients  4 medium size brinjals  Half cup tamarind juice  1 tsp gram flour  1 tsp seasame seeds, roasted  1 tsp ginger-garlic paste  1 tsp green chilli paste  Half tsp garam masala powder  Half tsp salt  Half cup butter or oil Method of preparation  1.Wash, pat dry and cut the stem portion of the brinajal. Cut each brinjal length wise into 8 pieces with the base intact.  2. Heat oil in a 2-litre cooker and fry the brinjal on slow fire till light brown.  3. Mix all the remaining ingredients till well combined and add to the brinjals.  4. Steam for 10 minutes. Serve hot with rice or chapathi, granished with chopped coriander leaves and curry leaves.
