Abhi Ram (Ram Charan) is the son of Chadrasekhar (Rehman) stays with his family in London. Chandrasekhar gets offended as he fails to be dean of Queens Mary University and tells his flash back to Abhi. Seeing his father’s remorse sets on a mission to win the hearts of his family in India, whom he left twenty five years ago. Abhi goes to India and enters into his grandfather’s house as an aspiring foreigner likes to learn Agriculture. Abhi gets to know that his grand father’s has dream to open a hospital in the village. How Abhi completes the dream of his grand father (Prakash Raaj) and unite his father with family. How does he achieve his aim is the rest of the storyline.

In all fairness, Ram Charan is the backbone of Govindudu Andarivadele. He gives away his career best performance in this film. His comedy timing is good, dances with grace and emoted well in the emotion sequences. Jayasudha, Prakash Raaj steals the show as grand parents to Ram Charan. The way Jayasudha expresses with her eyes in the pre climax episode is simply outstanding. Kajal Aggarwal performed well and her beauty is a treat to watch. Dubbing by Soumya perfectly suits Kajal's character in this film. Srikanth made an impact with his strong performance and punchlines. He didn't get much footage in the first hour but has a nice role in the second hour. Kamalinee Mukherjee did her part well. Rehman, Paruchuri Venkateshwara Rao, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Rao Ramesh and Adarsh Balakrishnan despite of being good are highly wasted. Vennela Kishore, Kasi Viswanath, Sameer Harshavardhan, Bhanu Sri Mehra are okay in their cameos.

Krishna Vamsi though selected a very thin storyline with hero entering house covering up his identity and working for well being of the families. Govindudu Andarivadele serves the purpose pretty well in the first half it does make you smile, emotionally connect. SO one feels like being fairly satisfied in the its initial reels until it reaches the intermission where its story takes the same seen before kind of turn involving the head of the family. Hence post interval becomes a jumble of both good and dragged moments which are not able to entertain the viewer in the same manner as successfully done by its first half. But Krishna Vamsi succeeds with his mark emotional sequences in the pre climax episode with Prakash Raj – Jayasudha – Ram Charan and ends the film in a classy way.

Here the point which needs to be raised is that, when Telugu viewers are ready to accept new concept and ideas as proved by many directors in recent times, then whats the need of developing a story from successful products like Attarintiki Daredi, Sita Ramaiyaa Gari Manavaralu, Bhageeratha and Ramuddu Vachaddu… When Krishna Vamsi was successful in handling unusual subjects in the past, but why did he hesitate to tackle it differently remains questionable. Either he had no faith in his target audience or he simply bowed down to commercial elements involved in the film trade today as it seems.

Music has been a strong highlight in all the Krishna Vamsi’s films, including his bad films like Chakram and Mahatma. In Govindudu Andarivadele there is only couple of good songs and those are Bangaru Bawa & Neli Rangu Cheera, besides this song rest all are average. Ra Ra Rakumara is a bit interesting. Yuvan's Background score elevates the crucial scenes. Cinematographer Sameer Reddy strikes the right fusion between aesthetics and technical finesse. Editing of this film is a bit too jerky at times. The first half could surely have been chopped by a good 10-15 minutes. The second half holds your interest because of emotional scenes. Fights in the film are totally crazy; makers should have limited the usage of CG effects in the action sequences. Choreography of the songs is very casual. Production values of this film are grand.

Admittedly Govindudu Andarivadele is not a blatant version of Attarintiki Daredi, Sita Ramaiya Gari Manavaralu.. etc as you might be thinking. But it takes its basic elements from the same, changes the settings to village characters then adds all the Telugu gimmicks to it in order to make it a special spicy dish ready to be served to its viewers starving from sometime. In true words, this was a good choice of point by Krishna Vamsi to be presented before us following his own style of film making. Govindudu Andarivadele can be rated as clean family entertainer. This kind of films are very rare in recent times, go grab your tickets.

Mega Power Star Ram Charan is popular for his out and out mass action entertainers. He for a change is coming with a family entertainer Govindudu Andarivadele under the direction of Krishna Vamsi. Mega hero Ram Charan and director Krishna Vamsi have teamed up for the film ‘Govindhudu Andharivadele’. This film is getting ready to hit the screens on October, 1st. The film was completed its censor formalities and passed with “U/A” certificate by censor board members. Directed by Krishna Vamsi, ‘Govindhudu Andharivadele has Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead, and Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music composer. Star producer Bandla Ganesh is producing this flick on Parameshwara Arts banner..

As per the latest close sources updates from film nagar, story line revealed as Prakash raj is the grandfather of Ram Charan, Srikanth is Ram Charan’s uncle (Babai..), actually Ram Charan father is a big doctor in London where in flashback Prakash Raj made his son doctor and he built a hospital in their village, he wants his son to make social service thorough his hospital in their village, but Ram Charan’s father wants to grow up in his career and he wants to earn huge money and hence he left all his family members by rejecting his father’s wish of severing to their villagers.

After knowing his father’s mistake, Charan came back to their small village to correct his father’s mistake. He enters into his family as unknown person, impressed to family members with two, three incidents and he fell in love with Kajal and unites his father to their family and rest of story you have see in theaters only..
