Telangana state is facing severe power problem after the division of the state. Everyone knows this before the state was divided. KCR has repeatedly told that “Telangana would overcome the power within 3 years of the formation of the state. KCR is in hurry to look after the issue whenever AP Chief Minister CBN decided to cancellation of PPP with Telangana Government. Recently, he called Singareni officials to know the actual power situation in the state.
He asked the officials to buy Central Government share in Singareni Coal Mines. Reportedly, they were shocked after hearing these words from CM’s mouth. It doesn’t matter whether Central Government agreed for KCR proposal or not. If Central Government agreed to sell it’s very difficult for Telangana Government to bear such huge amount. Survey of India expects that there is around 22K million tons of coal available in Singareni. So far, 1,200 Million tons of coal has digged and used for the country.
ESSAR bought 100 Million tons of Coal in South Africa for 900 Crores of rupees. The super quality of Singareni Coal has definitely higher price. The value of the Singareni 21K million Coal is around 3 lacs crores of Indian Currency. Central Government has 49% where Telangana Government 51% of share in Singareni. Telangana Government has to pay around 1.5 lac crores of rupees to buy 49% of Central Government share. How KCR wants to pay huge amount for Singareni? This is the question that everyone in Telangaan now.
