Sources have stated that JLR India, the Indian subsidiary of Tata Motors-owned British luxury marquee, has launched the petrol variant of 2017 Range Rover Evoque at a sticker price of Rs. 53.20 Lakhs (Ex-showroom, Delhi) in the country. Being based on the SE trim, the 2017 Range Rover Evoque petrol can be booked at all 23 authorized Land Rover Retailers in India. Rohit Suri, President, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd (JLRIL), has said: “We are excited to introduce the 2017 Model Year New Range Rover Evoque with a 2.0 l petrol derivative. The addition of the 2.0 l petrol derivative reinforces our commitment towards customers who aspire to drive this fabulous vehicle with a powerful petrol engine." The 2017 Range Rover Evoque petrol SE comes with a plethora of luxurious features such as Panoramic sunroof with powered blind, Xenon headlamps with LED lighting and automatic leveling, 8-way electrically adjustable driver's seat, Oxford leather steering wheel with audio controls and cruise control, Rear view camera, Climate control system with rear vents, Ambient interior lighting, 8-inch touch screen In Control infotainment system with 8-speaker sound system and Navigation, etc. to name.

Meanwhile as for safety, the 2017 Evoque Petrol SE is equipped with 8-airbags, Child seat ISOFIX anchor points, Hill descent control (HDC), Dynamic stability control (DSC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Seatbelt reminder and Range Rover Smart Key controls as standard features. Mechanically, it is powered by a 2.0L petrol engine which develops maximum power of 237bhp at 5500rpm and peak torque of 340Nm at 1750rpm.

It is linked to a 9-speed automatic transmission, including Drive Select with paddle shifters and Sport mode. For those asking, All Terrain Progress Control (ATPS) system and four wheels drive (4WD) system come as standard with the SUV.
