New Delhi sources reported that Indian arm of Japanese car manufacturer Honda has registered monthly domestic sales of 9,143 units in April 2018, against 14,480 units in the corresponding month last year. Earlier the company exported 452 units during April 2018, against 442 units in April 2017.



Rajesh Goel, SVP & director, Sales & Marketing, Honda Cars India, said “HCIL sales in April are as per plan. We are preparing for the launch of all-new Amaze this month and did not have stocks of outgoing Amaze. Besides, City and WR-V which were launched last year had witnessed new model sales spurt around this time.”

Accordingly Honda City remained the company's best-selling car with 3,366 units delivered to customers, and WR-V acquiring the second position with 2,949 units sold in April 2018. The company sold 1,747 units of Honda Jazz.
