Reportedly maruti Suzuki india will observe no production days on September 7 and 9 at its plants in Gurugram and Manesar. The passenger vehicle (PV) manufacturing operations will remain suspended at both the plants on the two days.

The country's largest carmaker has been experiencing continuous sales decline for the past seven months. It reported a 32.7% drop in sales to 1,06,413 units in August 2019. There was a plunge of 33.5% sales in July 2019, 14% in June 2019, 22% in July 2019, 17.2% in April 2019, 1.6% in March 2019 and 0.8 per cent in February 2019. The last time maruti Suzuki india had witnessed positive monthly sales was in January 2019, when there was a rise of 0.2 per cent.



"maruti Suzuki india Ltd has decided to shut down the passenger vehicle manufacturing operations of Gurugram plant and Manesar plant in Haryana for two days, on September 7 and 9, 2019," the carmaker said in a statement. Both days will be observed as no production days," it added.
