Cucumber is one of the best known natural ingredients to calm, nurse and hydrate the dried out skin. You can make an amazingly effective cucumber face mask for dry skin by using two natural ingredients only, namely, cucumber and plain, unflavored yogurt or curd. The lactic acid in the yogurt or curd helps exfoliate skin to make it smooth and moisturized and this face mask is for all skin types.
Take 1/2 fresh cucumber, 1 tablespoon Greek or plain, unflavored yogurt or curd and the Method is as follows. Blend the ingredients into a fine, smooth, chunks free paste. Wash your face using warm water, so as to open skin pores. Pat dry with a clean, soft towel and massage the facial mask in small circular motions, using your finger tips. Leave it on for about 15 minutes, rinse it off with lukewarm water first and then with cool water.
Pat dry with a clean soft towel and if needed apply your favorite moisturizer or if you want to go natural way, apply a drop of extra virgin olive oil or pure organic coconut oil. If you have puffiness and or dark circles under your eyes, lie down on your back while waiting for the mask to dry and place cooled cucumber slices over both eyes.
