List of bank holidays in October including Durga puja and Dasara

Banks both government and private will remain shut for eight days including Saturday and Sunday. In some states October 28, 29 is listed as holidays on account of Diwali and Bhaidhooj.

    In October this year banks will shut their shops for as many as eight days on account of Durga puja and Dasara, RBI have already green signalled closure of banks on second and fourth Saturdays, and Sunday being national holiday. Some states have listed October 28, 29 as holidays on account of Diwali and Bhaidhooj.

    Starting Oct 2 as Gandhi Jayanthi, till Diwali on October 27 will have about eight holidays. State-wise holidays will be different from each other, State bank of India has declared holidays from Oct 05 to 08 on account of Durga puja, in Tamil nadu SBI branches will remain shut due to Ayudha puja, some banks have listed holidays on Oct 28 and 29 for Diwali and Bhaidhooj.

    Banks have advised its customers to keep sufficient amount of money this festive season as Oct 6, 7, 8 will be holiday for Sunday, Navami, and Dussehra respectively.
