RSS and BJP lock horns over regional trade grouping
RSS and BJP are differing on the issue of regional trade grouping, Mohan Bhagwat recently urged the centre not to yield too much in regional grouping.
In a rare development, RSS and BJP has widen its differences over RCEP (Regional comprehensive economic partnership), while BJP has been firm on the decision saying, india can’t be a closed economy as many sectors are keeping it moving. RCEP is initiated to group 10 ASEAN countries with india that includes, China, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and south Korea.
RSS economic wing, SJM (swadesi jagran manch) had warned against any further negotiations on RCEP, they would intensify the protest with a 10-day nation wide agitation starting this Thursday. They would submit a memorandum to Prime minister through magistrates in each district.
Recently a round table meeting was held in BJP’S headquarters on issue of RCEP, the party leader met the stakeholders of the industries for an amicable solution pertaining to the issue. SJM co-convenor Ashwani Mahajan has urge the government to do more meeting on the issue, he further said, all major industrial sectors are opposing the RCEP, if these industrial sectors are destroyed then economy will be destroyed eventually, he said.
