Flipkart Chairman Sachin Bansal is now trying to bring all e-commerce companies together and create a lobby group so that they can counter attrack brick-and-mortar retailers like Aditya Birla Group and the Future Group.

These retailers influence government policies through organizations like the Retailers Association of India (RAI). Sachin Bansal along with other e-commerce & internet-based companies, recently met minister of state for finance Jayant Sinha to discuss the concerns of the online sector.

Sachin took the initiative and he sent invite to all his counterparts for the meeting with Jayant Sinha. One of the senior executive who attended the meeting said, "All key players are realizing the effect an association like RAI creates on the whole ecosystem.

Most of us have our own different paths and strategies, but some issues are common to all and these could be addressed better as a group." However some bankable sources said Amazon was not invited. Similarly Snapdeal founder also never participated. Sources said Snapdeal co-founder Kunal was invited but he was unable to partiicpate due to other commitments.
