India likely to limit palm oil import from malaysia over J&K remark 

India is mulling on restricting some imports of products including palm oil, the reason of restrictions is Malaysian government remarks on J&K situation.

    india may restrict or limit the import of palm oil from Malaysia, the reaction was after Malaysian government criticized the government’s decision on Jammu and Kashmir.

    According to sources, the Indian government infuriated after Malaysian Prime minister Mahathir Mohammed recently said in United Nations that, india had invaded and occupied Jammu and Kashmir, he further advised New delhi to work with pakistan to resolve the issue. india is largest importer of edible oils, imports mainly constitutes from Malaysia, Argentina, and Ukraine, imports are as huge as 9 million tonnes of palm oil from malaysia and Indonesia.

     Meanwhile, Malaysian PM refuted on question of import restrictions from India, he said, he has not received anything official from Indian authorities. There has been long term friction between two south Asian countries over extradition of controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik, india has urged several times to Malaysian authorities over deportation of the Preacher. Zakir Naik is accused of promoting hate speeches by Anti-terrorism unit of India.
