TSRTC strike effect: schools and college will remain shut for another week 

Due to ongoing TSRTC strike the state government was forced to extend the holidays of Dasara by one more week, this decision was taken to avoid difficulty for students.

     The Telangana state road transport corporation (TSRTC) ongoing strike had literally paralyzed the state to some extent. The transport unions are not in mood to conclude their strike as of now, the strike is likely to continue for another week at least if the ongoing talks between the government appointed panel and transport representatives bears no conclusive results. Due to this the state government has decided to extend the Dasara holidays for all educational institutions for one more week.

     The institutions were supposed to opened on 14 October, but after government order they will now open on 19 October. Junior colleges which resumed the classes from Thursday were told to remain shut till 19 October.

     All institutions like law, degree, engineering, polytechnic, MBA, MCA, and pharmacy were ordered to remain shut, only Medical colleges will remain open. The decision was taken keeping the interest of students in the mind to avoid any kind of inconvenience. Most of the students in the state commute through buses.
