Educational Initiatives Pvt Ltd. (EI) announced the appointment of Srinivasan (Srini) Raghavan as CEO with immediate effect. Founding Managing Director Sridhar Rajagopalan will take on the role of Executive Vice Chairman. Since inception in 2001, EI has worked with K-10 students to achieve better learning outcomes in classrooms. EI has strived to thread a set of robust assessment products with personalized learning tools – all delivered within the framework of curricular norms.
The outcome of learning is measured through application-oriented questions, to check whether the students have understood and internalized the core concepts.Speaking about the development, EI co-founder Sridhar Rajagopalan said: “We are very happy to welcome Srini to EI. He served as Managing Director in large corporates like Bally Technologies (NYSE: BYI) and Manhattan Associates (NASDAQ: MANH) following earlier stints at Cadence Design Systems and Pepsi.
Srini started his career in the Indian Army where he served for six years and had the experience of operational as well as ceremonial duties.Srini said, “I am very excited to be part of this tremendous opportunity to influence societal transformation. During the next decade, over 600 million children in India will go through schooling. The work done by EI will help children learn with understanding (rather than the common rote and spit-out culture) and that too in a scientific manner.
