According to sources the Ministry of Railways through the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) has released a notification inviting online applications from Indian nationals for 14,033 vacant positions comprising Junior Engineers, Depot Material Superintendents (DMS) and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistants (CMA) by 31 January 2019 to be appointed across various zonal divisions and production units of the Indian Railways.
Candidates seeking application for various posts must have turned 18 years as on 01 January 2019, and not exceeded 33 years, with an exception granted to various categories as detailed in the CEN published on the official regional RRBs website.
The selection of candidates to various posts will be done through a Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted in two phases, interview and medical scrutiny. The selected candidates will be placed at the various Railway Zones (Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bilaspur, Chandigarh, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram and other zones) of the Indian Railways, and paid in the Level 6 Pay Matrix, with Rs. 35, 400/- per month along with other allowances as specified.
