Amitabh Bachchan donates 51 lakhs to Bihar floods
The cheque of 51,00,000 was handed to State deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar modi by representative of Amitabh, Vijaynath Mishra in Patna. Amitabh also wrote a letter to Bihar CM.
Legendary Actor amitabh bachchan contributed 51 lakhs rupees to Bihar flood relief fund. He was moved by the floods that wrecked havoc in as many as twelve districts of the state. The cheque along with a written letter addressing the chief minister of state was handed to Dy. CM in Patna.
The recipient of Dada saheb phalke award this year wrote in the letter that, he was moved by the natural calamity that hit the state, he extended his deepest condolences to people who were worst affected by the floods, although my contribution is small, but it will help the state to restore the human life. He had also publicized the contribution through his show KBC.
The state of Bihar has been badly affected by floods this year. As many as 29 people lost their lives, thousands of people had damages to their properties. Central government has promised a relief package to the state.
