Emperor Akbar while strolling Birbal saw a dog who was trying to chew a Dry burnt roti. Seeing the dog, Akbar commented, “Poor dog Is eating Kali”. Kali in Hindi stands for the black one. Birbal’s mother’s name was Kali. Birbal understood Akbar was making Fun of him. So he replied in the similar tone, “This Kali is Nemat for The dog.” Nemat was the name of Akbar’s mother and it literally meant the ‘Blessing’. The answer embarrassed Akbar.
