Having gone a little distance attendant remembered he did not ask who was To be called.
The attendant approach Birbal and said, “His Highness ordered me to go quickly and call Him, but he did not specify whom to I call. You please advise me whom shall I call?”
“What was His Highness doing at that time?”
“Sir, he was making preparation to take bath.”
“All right, send the barber to His Highness.”
The attendant sent a barber to the king.
Akbar asked how he knew a barber was required.
Attendant stated he had consulted Birbal.
Akbar smiled at the mental alertness shown by Birbal.
