Tejas Express India’s first private train flagged off 

 India’s first train run entirely by private player was flagged off yesterday, touted as fastest train in India, it covers Delhi-Lucknow distance in six hours fifteen minutes.

    Tejas Express, India’s first private train started yesterday, touted as fastest train in the country, it is entirely operated by Indian railway catering and tourism corporation (IRCTC). CM Yogi flagged off the train yesterday, the train will run six days a week except Tuesday.

     Tejas Express is the fastest train in the country, it covers New Delhi-Lucknow distance in six hours and fifteen minutes. Starting at New Delhi at 6:15 am it reaches Lucknow at 12:25 pm. While inaugurating the train CM Yogi thanked PM and railway minister Piyush Goyal for starting first corporate train from the state of Uttar Pradesh.

     For the first time, IRCTC has invented unique system of refund, if the train gets delayed by one hour, 100 rs will be refunded to passengers, 250 rs will be refunded if its delayed by two hours subsequently. IRCTC is also offering 25 lakhs of insurance to its passengers. Although there will be no Tatkal bookings for Tejas Express.
