King Nagarjuna's son Akhil attracted the attention of all with his handsome looks and charming personality. He became toast of Tollywood even before the release of his first film. Expectations increased after his powerful special in Akkineni's generational entertainer Manam. Nagarjuna decided to launch his son in a sensational manner and he roped in VV.Vinayak for the same.
The audio of Akhil's debut film Akhil was launched in style with celebrities from all professions wishing him. Earlier Salman Khan released the film's trailer but after all that hype, the film Akhil bombed at the box office. From then on many expected Akhil to announce his second film and strike back with vengeance.

Akhil remained silent after many directors names like Vamsi Paidipally ,Gopichand Malineni cameout but sometime back rumours spread that Akhil loved Hanu Raghavapudi's story which was rejected by NTR. At that time Akhil asked Hanu to develop the story.
