Casting, Direction, Music, Cinematography, ScreenplayCasting, Direction, Music, Cinematography, ScreenplayEditing, Slow NarrationDespite making a Lovely comeback with the feel-good family entertainer Nenu Sailaja early last year, energetic hero Ram Pothineni couldn't quite sustain the momentum achieved with the success, and followed it up with a routine commercial outing in Hyper, which failed to click with the masses. Yet again, he's back on screens today, with his Nenu Sailaja director Kishore Tirumala himself, to help him get that elusive success and a return to form. Has the combo achieved the desired results? Let's see more in this exclusive first on net Vunnadi Okate Zindagi Review by Team AP Herald.

Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi begins with the scenes depicting the friendship Abhiram (Ram) shares with his friend Vasu (Sree Vishnu), and moves on to the present where Abhi is shown as a guy owning a coffee shop in Milan. Cut to the flashback and Abhi is a college goer, who falls in love with house surgeon Maha (Anupama Parameswaran), and he motivates her in singing. In a twist of fate comes and end to his love story, with the arrival of  Vasu impacting their friendship. Back to present, now Abhiram decides to come to India for a friend's wedding, where he gets to meet wedding planner Meghna alias Maggie (Lavanya Tripathi) who instantly connects with Abhiram. As Vasu also arrives for the wedding, whether the friends Abhiram and Vasu reunite, and was Abhi Lucky in Love atleast the second time is what Vunnadhi Okkate Zindagi is all about.

The movie belongs totally to the cute beauty Anupama Parameswaran, who was earlier seen in bubbly roles in Shatamanam Bhavathi and  A Aa and a quite yet striking role in Premam, is presented in a contrasting character here, that requires her to be expressive at the same time being subtle too. Though it looks like an underplay at the outset, she effortlessly eases past the rest of the cast with her terrific presence and her pitch perfect dubbing!! Sharing equal honors with Anupama is the ever energetic and lively Ram, who's as usual a ball of energy with his spontaneous reactions and stunning dance performances , with improved emotional Performance, proving that he's come a long way since his Jagadam days.

While Lavanya Tripathi gets to play a small role creating the necessary impact within the minimal scope she gets, Sree Vishnu springs a surprise with his second fiddle role of a best buddy to the protagonist, making way for many more roles in the years to come. Priyadarshi's comic antics are fine, and his equation with Ram and gang makes  the humor work. The rest of the cast don't make much of an impact, as the movie totally revolves around the leads.

Devi SriPrasad's background score is romantic and moving, and his songs are already chartbusters, with the title song, Rayyi Rayyi Mantu, Trend Maarina, What Amma numbers being the pick of the album. Sameer Reddy's Cinematography is top class, capturing the scenic locations filled with greenery and the seaside locales beautifully, taking the audience on a visual journey. At around 2 and half hours, Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi offers youthful entertainment sans cliches or dull moments, thanks to crisp editing by Sreekar Prasad.

Kishore Tirumala was one director, who had a poor start to his career with a disastrous Tamil flick, and a Telugu flick Second Hand (2013) which went unnoticed. However, he came back with renewed vigor, joining hands with energetic star Ram Pothineni, whose confidence in him in his own tough times resulted in a comeback flick for both of them, Nenu Sailaja (2016). Now Ram is back to his flop form, and yet again Kishore Tirumala has come to his rescue, and how !!

Kishore seems to be an expert in portraying the Pain of love, with the help of strong female characters who have extreme emotional angle in them. Just like Keerthy Suresh in Nenu Sailaja, Anupama aces her role with an impeccable performance, and looks homely and impressive.

Ram is at extreme ease and at his energetic best , and that shows his equation with Kishore that literally translates on screen into likeable performances, and we only wish Ram works regularly with Kishore. After exploring the father-daughter bond in Nenu Sailaja, Kishore successfully depicts the friendship, love and the depth of relationships with extreme ease, making Vunnadhi Okkate Zindagi an impressive watch that gives the audience a pleasant feel. With beautiful compositions by Devi SriPrasad and stunning Cinematography by Sameer, the movie is a visual treat as well. All said, Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi is a good comeback for Ram, and is worth a watch.
