Doctor Rajasekhar, who's been bogged by continuous failures over the years (His last genuine success was the 2007 flick Yevadaithe Naakenti), faced disastrous results with his last Release, Gaddam Gang as well. Now, after a 2 year sabbatical, the actor is back on silver screens, this time joining hands with critically acclaimed director Praveen Sattaru for the action drama PSV Garudavega. Has the actor succeeded this time around? Here's team AP Herald's exclusive first on net review of PSV Garudavega.

PSV Garudavega begins with the introduction of an NIA officer Shekar (Rajasekhar), and his deadly missions. After deftly handling cases involving drug mafia, Shekar is assigned a murder case, which leads him to places he never expects. Multiple murders happens, and Shekar investigates to find the reason behind the murders. Why are tht murders committed? What is Kishore's role in the murders and whether Shekhar succeeded in his mission to unearth the murder mystery is what the action packed PSV Garudavega is all about.

As usual, Doctor Rajasekhar impresses with his apt performance as an action hero, and voices out lines with renewed vigor. Kishore as the principal antagonist, is menacing, though his role is cliched. After playing  glamorous roles in many movies, Shraddha Das gets to play a deglamorous role of a bold press reporter, and  she plays her part fine. Pooja Kumar plays the perfect eye candy, and attracts with her simple yet sensual looks in sexy sarees, and has nothing much to do. Adith and Nasser are apt for their roles.

Background score by Sri Charan and Bheems is in sync with the tense screenplay of the movie, while the Sunny Leone featuring number Deo deo is a template yet peppy number. Cinematography by Anji is top notch, and the talented cinematographer has captured the stunning visuals and action sequences with extreme finesse on par with Hollywood standards. Editing by Dharmendra kakarala could have been taut, as the movie drags a bit in the second half, and is a bit lengthy at 2 hours and 38 minutes.

After impressing with 4 different movies each in different genres, love before wedding, Routine love story, Chandamama Kathalu and Guntur Talkies, director Praveen Sattaru is back, this time with an unconventional casting headed by doctor Rajasekhar. Basically PSV Garudavega is a tale of a protagonist who's on charge of going on a mission to hunt down terror groups, and the screenplay is designed in an interesting and engaging manner.

Though there's occasional humor laced with the screenplay, the film is serious for most part. Despite giving the feel of Deja Vu as most of the sequences remind us of high budget Hollywood action flicks, the highlight of PSV Garudavega is its rich visuals, captured by the amazingly talented Anji. Though the sunny Leone song and few sequences are dragged and unnecessary, despite these limitations, PSV Garudavega is a decent outing for Rajasekhar, and is sure to perform well at the box office.
