After failing consistently with one disaster after another, Aadi Saikumar was fairly successful with his last release, the Multi-starrer Shamantakamani by Sriram Aditya. He's come back to try his luck as a solo hero yet again, with Next Nuvve directed by ETV Prabhakar, who had a long run on television. This movie is bankrolled by Bunny Vaas in his V4 movies banner and co-stars Vaibhavi Shandilya, Rashmi Gautham, and Brahmaji.
The film is all about the protagonist played by Aadi Saikumar, who decides to renovate his ancestral property into a hotel, and plans to develop the business along with his girlfriend Vaibhavi Shandilya, his friend Brammaji and his sister Rashmi Gautham.
However, as guests who come to stay in the hotel die mysteriously, Aadi finds out that there's some supernatural force behind the deaths. Whether Aadi and team found the reason behind the deaths, and whether they survived the evil residing in the haunted hotel is what Next Nuvve is all about.
Next Nuvve is the official remake of 2014 sleeper hit Yaamirukka Bayamey, which won at the box office thanks to its adult humor and horror laced with genuine laughs. However, Next Nuvve fails to match the original, with its poorly adapted screenplay, as ETV Prabhakar, while trying to modifying the screenplay has inserted unwarranted episodes and drags the movie, without much humor or interesting sequences.
Aadi perfectly fits as the loser boyfriend, and Despite some cute acts by debutant Vaibhavi Shandilya and Rashmi Gautham oozing oomph, Next Nuvve fails big time on the humor front and making it a poorly made remake of a decent Horror comedy.
