After directing several disastrous flicks, choreographer turned director Ahmed Khan has returned to silver screens with Baaghi 2, starring muscleman Tiger Shroff and his off-screen pair Disha Patani, and with the script taken from Telugu movie Kshanam. Here's team AP Herald's exclusive first on net Baaghi 2 Review.

Ronny (Tiger Shroff) is a dedicated army officer, who hasn't even taken a break from work but decides to take a gap when he receives a letter from his ex Neha (Disha Patani). As he reaches her, she tells him that she has lost her daughter Rhea, though her husband says that there's no such daughter and that it's her imagination. Ronny, however, believes Neha and decides to help her. Whether Rhea exists and was Ronny able to help Neha is what the action-packed Baaghi 2 is all about.

As Ronny, Tiger Shroff is every Inch a military man in looks but delivers a plastic performance sans any expressions. Disha Patani is wasted in a mere cameo, and though she tries hard to display emotions, she excels only in skin show. Prateek Babbar hams, while only Randeep Hooda and Manoj Bajpai save the show with their subtle and composed acts in this no-brainer.

While Julius Packiam's background score is loud and jarring, of the numerous songs, only O Saathi by Arko and Lo Safar by Mithoon pass the muster. Cinematography by Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran is top notch as he had effortlessly captured high octane stunt sequences with utmost ease, making at least stunts work in Baaghi 2. Choreographer turned director Ahmed Khan has returned to making films after a break, And he has messed up a beautiful Chance for impressing the audience despite having a successful original.

Ahmed has literally ripped apart the story by actor Adivi sesh who scripted Kshanam, the original Telugu flick, lacing Baaghi 2 with unwanted elements and uninteresting screenplay, which focuses mainly on skin show.

Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani equally share honors in body show, as both alternate scenes to show off their chiseled 6 pack abs and curvy assets respectively, and when they both take a break, comes in Jacqueline Fernandez unwarranted and prances around in a skimpy outfit in the name of dance, Shaming yesteryear cult number Ek Dho teen.

The most pathetic part of Baaghi 2 happens to be tiger Shroff's plastic, wooden face sans expressions and Prateek Babbar contrastingly hamming to the core, making one wonder what talented artists like Manoj Bajpai and Randeep Hooda are doing in this yawn fest. What's more shocking is that the team has already announced Baaghi 3!! All said, Baaghi 2 is a pure skin fest of Tiger and Disha, which fails badly.
