Director Anup Bhandari had made waves in Kannada film industry with his debut movie Rangitaranga, released two years back, The movie starred his brother Nirup Bhandari, Radhika Chetan in lead roles, and went on to become the surprise blockbuster, establishing Anup as a director to look out for.
His second flick Rajaratha, though was critically acclaimed, met with a lukewarm response at the box office, and the movie starring Arya and Nirup Bhandari ultimately ended a disaster. However, now Anup Bhandari has bagged a huge offer for his third movie.
He will be directing Sandalwood superstar Kichcha Sudeep in his movie which is a fantasy adventure thriller titled as Billa Ranga Baashaa, and this movie set in 2209 AD, will be bankrolled by Sudeep himself in his SuPriYanvi studios, and this is a dream come true for Anup as he wanted to make a debut itself with Sudeep. Rashmika Mandanna is expected to do the female lead role.
