Versatile actor Surya was last seen in the political thriller NGK by acclaimed maker Selvaraghavan, starring alongside Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh, and his next is Kaappaan by KV Anand and bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
Kaappaan features Suriya as an NSG commando, while Malayalam national award-winning actor mohanlal plays Indian Prime Minister Chandrakant Varma in the movie which also has Arya, Sayyeshaa, Samuthirakani and music by Harris Jayaraj.
Tollywood magnum opus maker SS Rajamouli released Kaappaan Telugu version poster and the title revealing that the Telugu version has been named Bandobast. Kaappaan which released last week and is the third collaboration of Suriya - KV Anand combo after Ayan and Maattrraan. The movie has opened to negative critics and reviews and it has been totally labeled as a failure. This is the biggest failure for Suriya in the past decade. Suriya is struggling to give a hit since 'Singam 3' and so on.
