October 2 is always celebrated as Gandhi Jayanthi, the day on which a great non-violent leader was born, non-violence is a word synonym to Mahatma Gandhi, but every year Bollywood releases violence oriented flicks. This year is also no different.
Two different languages films released today on Gandhi Jayanthi, one of them is ‘War' staring hrithik roshan and Tiger Shroff, with lot of action, and bloodshed scenes, this movie is violent, in fact the name itself is War. Second one is chiranjeevi magnum opus ‘Sye raa Narasimha reddy’ although this movie is based on a story of freedom fighter, but its content is violent.
Director siddharth Anand released ‘Bang Bang’ on October 2 five years earlier, in fact violence oriented flicks like Haider, Andhadhun, and Talwar were released on Oct 2 in subsequent years. In 2020 on Gandhi Jayanthi, farhan akhtar is going to release Toofan, which is again based on violent theme of Boxing.
Bollywood has peculiar way of giving a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his birthday every year. Its seems that violence oriented flicks getting released on October 2 is now a trend in Bollywood.
