The Bollywood movie Kabir Singh featuring
shahid kapoor and
kiara advani became a blockbuster grossing 250 crores and director
sandeep Vanga's statement on slapping each other in love became controversial.
After his interview,
sandeep Vanga was targeted by feminist actresses like Samantha, Parvathy, besides singer
chinmayi and they got trolled as well for their double standards. Recently,
lakshmi manchu replied to author Devdutt Pattanaik's tweet that true lovers slap each other in Bollywood, and said, "Oh
god not all of Bollywood..just one sad filmmaker! Most of us
believe in love, song, dance, and friendship in our movies. Keep these beautiful pictures coming ".
The director who kept a muted response so far has now struck back and said that he never expected so many bashings in the Telugu version. But, he said everyone bashes when it is remade in Hindi. He also took a hit on the media who praised the Telugu version and not the Hindi version. The director indirectly mocked the feminist actresses and said them to look at their own dirt before criticizing others. Recently, Chinmayi's husband directed a movie with Nagarjuna romancing Rakul Preet and the director pulled that movie and mocked them.
