The tamil film, asuran starring dhanush and manju warrier in the lead roles is set to get remade in Telugu.‘Asuran’ is an action drama written and directed by Ventrimaaran. The film had hit the screens in tamil Nadu for the dussehra festival and scored a super hit. Hero venkatesh who is taking up only content-driven roles these days will be featuring in asuran telugu remake.
The Daggubati hero is currently doing ‘Venky Mama’ and he has now given a green signal for ‘Asuran’ remake. This telugu version will be jointly produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu and suresh babu under V Creations and suresh Productions banners. The makers will announce the cast and crew details very soon. The makers have kept the name of the director's name under wraps for now.
On the other side, there is no update about the release plan of Venky Mama. Buzz is that the movie will release in December or for sankranthi in January. Other sankranthi biggies are worried about venky mama since suresh babu has considerable hold on the theaters in both the telugu States.
